I cheer the fact that the Democrat-Farm-Labor Party endorsed and nominated such a young candidate. There were two fresh, excited young men, who sought the Republican nomination for the State House, and were knocked off in a back room deal by the Gazelka's campaign manager. The only problem is Taylor is part of the Obama wave, an "Obamiac". The Obama wave that brought us false promises, false hope, and democrat politics as usual. So is Taylor going to bring to the table anything different that what Obama sold us, a lot of empty promises.
Let Us Not Forget About Nancy Pelosi - One of the Great Leaders In Taylor's Party - Video of Nancy Saying "Let's Pass the Bill so we can find out what is in it".
A Great Pelosi Quote- When the problems go away, we will quit blaming Bush
Another Example of the DFL in MN, Taylor's Team - Mark Ritchie who disenfranchised in the last election many of our troops serving overseas to protect us.
To be fair, Taylor is part of the major party system, the DFL, which is broken. What we have been doing through the major parties has lead us to where we are now.
We need some radical change, a radical new direction, totally new ideas, not the same pap the DFL and the National Democratic has been feeding for low these many years.
It is hard to judge Taylor's possible performance except to look at the fact of who he is "hanging with". John Ward, who arranged through legislation, that he persisted in for the whole last term of the legislature, to have the State Hospital sold to the White Earth Tribe. This does offer short term jobs, and economic activity, but the State Hospital will then be "Tribal Land", just like any reservation. Who is to say they won't build a casino on it, or use it long term for some sort of benefit for the Native Americans? I sure John being a left wing liberal would like to benefit Native Americans, since they are one of the top five contributors to the DFL, but I am more concerned about the citizens of Brainerd, and Crow Wing County, and their long term benefit and protection.
John Ward scored a 0%, out of 100, with the Taxpayers League. This seems to me to be an area of serious concern in a time of mounting debts, and the real possibility of massive tax increases as the only solution proposed by the DFL. Not small government, not more efficient government, but an ever increasing bureaucracy that primarily benefits the unions, AFSCME , American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, and Education Minnesota, The Teacher's Union (NEA), who support the DFL and are their primary financial backers, along with their members. It is no accident that almost all of the candidates in District 12 are former teachers and primarily are direct representatives of the Unions. We have sort of quid pro quo. The DFL gives the unions and their members more money, and the Unions give the DFL more money. What a comfortable arrangement!
I think Taylor is an exciting candidate. He just picked the wrong people to "hang with", the unions and their lackeys, opposing the interests of the general public and becoming a Union minion. Big government benefits government employees. This is substantiated in several articles in USA Today, not a conservative publication, Public sector growth unsustainable and Private pay shrinks to historic lows as government employee payouts rise. These are the result of big government at the hands of both parties. The Republicans don't do what they say they are going to do, and the Democrats work hard to increase these kinds of results. Are these the kinds of results you want, if so Vote Democratic ! Vote Taylor Harrison !
