Paul Gazelka
Taylor Stevenson

Paul Gazelka states on his website, "I will not support a tax increase. We expect our federal government to protect our borders and to protect our individual freedoms as Americans. And beyond that, we want it out of our pockets and away from our families and businesses. We ask everyone else to live within their means, government must do the same. We must ease the tax burden on all taxpaying citizens, we can only do this by cutting government waste and eliminating unnecessary programs"

How have you and will you do this, Paul ?

This is the man who during his 2 years in the State House voted for the taxpayer 58% of the time.  What has changed Paul  You are trying to get elected! You are trying to identify yourself as a tea party person, really with a 58% tax rating.  You told one of your supporters you gotten more backbone. Really, why should we believe you? You said many of the same things 4 years ago. What has changed? You are trying to get elected, and identify with the need for change.  You are a old time Republican, not a reformer. Remember defending Ron Carey, when he and Dick Day stuck it to Crow Wing County, and even lied to the State Committee person. Sounds like same old, same old to me, same old Republican politics, not change.

You also embraced Chip Cravaack, the Republican candidate for the US House.  Isn't that the same Chip Cravaack, who was a leader in the pilot strike that broke Northwest Airlines, so we now have bigger and better Delta, based in Atlanta. Do you call that pro-business and helping provide more jobs for Minnesota. You could have fooled me.  Another point of the Republican deception, hiding the facts to get elected.

This is another example of politics as usual with Gazelka, he endorsed Cravaack from the beginning since, I think, he felt this would better promote his own interest rather than supporting Darrel Trulson, who was the truly conservative and deeply Christian candidate.
Expediency substituting for principles and standards. Many people, as I went door to door collecting petition signatures, have commented that the biggest problem with Gazelka is that his main focus is promoting his own interests and getting elected to raise personal image and gain more power. I am not sure about all this, but this is what the people are seeing.

We need
openness , integrity, and honesty in our public servants. Is that what you and Chip are giving us?
I must say like, Paul Koering, you are very charming, a real spinmeister
. We need change, truth, directness, not circuitousness, obliqueness, deception, and prevarication.
