Are Your Tired
of Politics as Usual ?
The Pauls, Gazelka and Koering have broken their word to the public, and have
miserable legislative records. Both signed a tax pledge in the 2005 term, and
broke it. Gazelka will tell you it was because the Democrat's had put in a
Pro-Life “poison pill” in a tax bill. I agree with Gazelka and Koering about
Pro-Life, but unfortunately the state legislature has no power over this
because of the courts. The Legislature does have direct control and
responsibility for taxes. So are you going to chase issues you can't control,
or are you going to assume your responsibility to the citizens?
Both of their
legislative records, Gazelka's 57% and Koering's 26% are at http://www.taxpayersleague.org/pdf/legscorecard2005.pdf when
the pledge was broken and for 2006 Gazelka's 58% and Koering's 75%. http://www.taxpayersleague.org/pdf/legscorecard2006.pdf.
5 Senators in 2006 had 100% and 9 had 90% or above. 4 in the House with 100%
and 10 had 90% or better. In 2005 1 in Senate had 100%, 5 had 80% or better. In
the House in 2005, 6 had 100% and 12 had 90% or better. So it is possible to
have a good record and also be Pro-Life. For Legislative Evaluation Scores
Gazelka in 2005 had 58% and a 65% in 2006. Koering had a 31% in 2005, and a 40%
in 2006. Pretty poor, those are failing grades in my school. http://www.mnlea.org/Reports/2005report.pdf

These are “conservative, smaller government, lower tax” Republicans. Really?
You can fool some of the people, some of the time, but you can’t fool all
the people all the time.
We need to
lower taxes. There is a solution to the deceit problem at http://minnesotabudgetsolutions.com/
with no tax increases.
I pledge I will
not vote to raise taxes, and I will not break my pledge.
