Excerpts from the Platform of the Constitution Party of Minnesota relative to Agriculture - "We oppose government efforts to require identification, registration and tracking movement of farm products, livestock, pets or produce for any purpose. We oppose disposal of hazardous waste through its use as an inert ingredient in fertilizers, thereby polluting Minnesota's soil, water and food supply. Every individual has the right to save and reuse any seed for the production of food. No entity, neither government nor corporation has the authority to prevent individuals from growing food for their own use or sale thereof directly to customers. Harvesting or recovering seed produced on private lands for individual use is not an infringement of patent rights held by the original developer or seller.
Monsanto is the prime example of Corporate oppression of farmers and agriculture in America in general.with it herbcibe Roundup, and then forcing farmers only to use their seed and prosecuting, in the courts through asserting parents rights, anyone who offered other than their seed or seed cleaning.
Below is a link to a Wall Street Journal Article that the agricultural system that has been forced on farmers is failing because of hardy superweeds immune to the Farm Belt's most effective weedkiller are invading fields, prompting a counterattack from agribusiness that could leave farmers using greater amounts of harsh old-line herbicides
